Who is the true and real God?

When each religion and belief offer the concept and the figure of God, for those who do not think, the real God is, what the preacher said or what the ulemas said and what obo-san in Japan also said. But for those who think, the figure of God or the concept of God is not like what that could be conveyed by the speakers. God is, to be in accordance with the power of thought, according to their field of experiences and their frame of references.

For those who accustomed to critical thinking, the quest for a true concept of God is not easy to find even to define it. Scientific methodology will never discover who God is, because empirically God, in fact, can not be found. Unless the dogma, even we often do not think or by the way of faith, it is not only the concept of god but also god figure of God will easily be found in various forms.

So who truly God is? Consider the hadith below;

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Allah the Most High said, ‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.’” –

I deliberately made bold expression of the above hadith, because that’s what I want to emphasize. “I am as my slave expects Me to be”: In its broadest interpretation, that God is dependent on the manner and attitude of what our thought are. What ever you say, he is. He is shapeless firm even inaccurate!.

One who hates and one who worships him are same upon him. He has no judgment. Its up to your thought.

That’s it.
